A note about The Cuddlywumps Chronicles

This blog is written and maintained by Miss Cuddlywumps, a fluffy-tailed calico cat who is both classically educated and familiar with mysteries. She receives creative input from the Real Cats and clerical assistance from She of Little Talent (old SoLT, a.k.a. Roby Sweet). Friendly Fill-Ins

Today we have just one fun Friday feature for you. Real Cat Webster has a word all picked out for Words with Webster, but old SoLT said something about having “entirely too much work,” whatever that means. Anyway, she says she doesn’t have time to help Webs look up his word or type it all out for you. Next week, she says!

We are pleased to have Friendly Fill-Ins, from 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader. They are a fun way to learn a little bit about the authors of the blogs you read. The first two questions, answered by old SoLT this week, are from Ellen of 15andmeowing, and the next two, answered by Real Cat Paisley, are from Annie of McGuffy’s Reader.

Old SoLT’s answers:
1. Blind dates—never been on one, never want to go on one!

2. Thirty years ago, I graduated from high school. I know it’s been that long because my class just had a 30-year reunion, and people keep posting pictures of it on Facebook. I recognize exactly two of my former classmates.

Real Cat Paisley’s answers:
3. I admire tigers because they are big and fierce and beautiful. I’ll bet no one tells a tiger, “No, honey, it’s not time to eat yet,” or “Here, you can have four of these little, tiny treats”!

4. Our dog makes me think evolution went wrong somewhere. Dogs are so clearly some sort of horrible mistake, like that movie "The Fly," where the guy turns into a fly? That's how we got dogs, I'm pretty sure!

  2. Sounds about right to me Paisley. Mother Nature sneezed in the dogs DNA batch. ;)

  3. Well, I agree with you and can relate to 1 & 2. Paisley, you make me laugh, though. I think my cats and dogs would agree with you about the treats. And dogs? You just haven't met the right one, yet. Chloe Jo loves Stella more than she does the other cats. Really. And, Stella is so sweet with her. Have a great week! Hugs!

  4. What an adorable photo of you, Paisley! And I bet you are correct about tigers; they get to eat THE WHOLE THING!

  6. Thank you both for these great fill-in answers.I am the same age as Old SALT, I would never got to a reunion,if i haven't seen someone in 30 years, there is a reason :) Paisley, your answers were a hoot, I agree about your theory on dogs. And that is very true about tigers :) I hope you get fed soon. Have a nice weekend!

  7. Ugh. A couple years ago we had our 20th reunion and I had less than 0 interest. Four years with those people was bad enough! The people I still care to know are at least Facebook friends. We agree about tigers ... any big cat actually!

  8. Paisley, I love your take on how dogs came to be...and you look so adorable sitting in that bowl! I'm totally with SoLT on reunions...ugh! Never been to one, never want to. I wasn't close enough to anyone in high school to want to catch up with them now LOL

  9. My high school class never had a reunion, to my knowledge. I guess we didn't like each other then, so why would we want to hang out now. Have a great week.

  10. I graduated 34 years ago and it does get more difficult to recognize folks over time. However, some folks seem to never change and I can pick them out right off.

I love your answer to #4...so very funny. :)

    Have a blessed weekend.

  11. When our class has reunions (I think our 35th just went by), about 8 - 10 people show up! I went to our 25th, and there might have been 20 of us. That was enough reunions for me, and I haven't needed to go since! :)
