A note about The Cuddlywumps Chronicles

This blog is written and maintained by Miss Cuddlywumps, a fluffy-tailed calico cat who is both classically educated and familiar with mysteries. She receives creative input from the Real Cats and clerical assistance from She of Little Talent (old SoLT, a.k.a. Roby Sweet). Comments or complaints should be addressed to Miss C rather than to old SoLt (Ms. Sweet). Ms. Sweet accepts no responsibility for Miss C's opinions.

Dr. Seuss Day 2018

 Dr. Seuss Day 2018

In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday, we have created the cover for a new classic called "Green Cat Food in Cans":

Green cat Food In Cans_spoof cover

The text goes something like this:

We will not eat it here or there.
We will not eat it anywhere.
We do not like it, Sam-I-Am.
We do not like green food in cans.
To feed us this you shouldn't ought.
We much prefer this mouse we caught.

This is of course based on the masterpiece "Green Eggs and Ham."

Friendly Fill-Ins

Friendly Fill-Ins blog hop
And now it’s time for Friendly Fill-Ins, from 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader. They are a fun way to learn a little bit about the authors of the blogs you read. The first two questions, answered by Real Cat Paisley this week, are from Ellen of 15andmeowing, and the next two, answered by old SoLT, are from Annie of McGuffy’s Reader.

Real Cat Paisley’s answers:
1. My favorite Dr. Seuss book is The Cat in the Hat, because it has a cat.

2. The most interesting person I have ever met is Mommy. She makes really funny sounds whenever I pounce on her feetses!

Old SoLT’s answers:
3. Besides books by Dr. Seuss, my favourite book as a child was basically anything with words printed on a page. I read a lot, but I don’t remember any special favorites.

4. Lately, I have been working on the next Miss Cuddlywumps Investigates book. The working title is Medea’s Crown.

  3. I love your revised version of Green Eggs and Ham, so very true for finicky cats... we have five and each one is a little different about what appeals to them, it sometimes feels like we are running a cafe at suppertime.:-) I have always loved books too... any books, all books! Good luck on your latest project, I hope it turns out wonderful!

  5. "Psst! Hey kitty...yeah, you!...C'mon over here, I've got a secret to tell ya! Aww, c'mon, I'm not gonna hurt you! Yes, that's a good kitty. Lemme whisper into your ear...cats can only see blue and green! Didya know that? Oh, yeah, you say...you did know that? Well, a real Einstein we've got here!"
