A note about The Cuddlywumps Chronicles

This blog is written and maintained by Miss Cuddlywumps, a fluffy-tailed calico cat who is both classically educated and familiar with mysteries. She receives creative input from the Real Cats and clerical assistance from She of Little Talent (old SoLT, a.k.a. Roby Sweet). Friendly Fill-Ins for July 21

Friendly Fill-Ins badge
Today we one Friday feature for you: Friendly Fill-Ins, from 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader. They are a fun way to learn a little bit about the authors of the blogs you read. The first two questions, answered by old SoLT this week, are from Ellen of 15andmeowing, and the next two, answered by Real Cat Paisley, are from Annie of McGuffy’s Reader.

Old SoLT’s answers
1. My favourite thing on my daily to-do list is anything I actually manage to do that day. Usually my “daily” lists are about three days long. This is because I feel particularly ambitious and able to do impossible things in the mornings. I don’t accept reality until about 2:30 in the afternoon.

2. My least favourite thing on my daily to-do list is all the stuff that’s left over at the end of the day, which is often most of the stuff on the list.

3. I could really do without this heat wave we’re having. I stay in the air conditioning (I’m the smartest!), but it is so tiring having to listen to everyone complain about how hot it is. Even the dog is complaining.

4. I would love to have more treats. I think I deserve a lot more than I’m currently getting. Here’s what happens when Webster and I get treats:
Mommy: You can each have four treats.
Me: FOUR?! Are you kidding me? I’ll DIE if I only have four treats! I need 1,752 treats, at least!
Mommy: Here you go—one, two, three, four.
Sound of poor, starving little kitty cat crying as she munches her four measly treats…

  1. Just so you know, that Chuck gets ZERO treats, so your four seem pretty good, don't they? His constipation acts up the second he eats one dry treat, so we keep all kibble and treats away from him. And because Angel eats whatever Chuck gets, she pretty much is kibble-and-treat-less too.

  2. All 10 of my cats are out in that heat right now - I don't know why but they seem to like it. Don't worry, I leave plenty of crunchies & fresh water for them before I go to work.

  3. That's a stunning picture of Paisley and her gorgeous tortie furs!!! Bear thinks they might be made for each other ... 1) he's constantly starving due to lack of treats (FOUR treats?!?! Sheesh! What kind of serving size nonsense is that??!), 2) he thinks that nip nanner is the best thing since canned tuna!, 3) Paisley's an exquisite tortie ;)

  4. My to-do list usually ends up being a didn't-get-done list, too. Oh well, tomorrow is another day and all that. :)

I'm sorry you aren't getting enough treats, kitty. Maybe get your mommy to sign you up for the contest at PS Annie! so maybe you can win some treats of your very own and toys, too. :)

    Have a blessed weekend.

  5. Poor Paisley! If you came to visit I'd give you more but you'd have to listen to me complaining about the heat too! Love your answer to #1...my ambitious time comes late at night but by morning it's gone *poof*

  6. Thank you both for participating, great answers. You only get 4 treats? That is so unfair, we get a small handful and wen Grammie gives them out we get a big handful. Have a nice weekend!XO

  7. I hope you can get more treats. Go see if PS Annie will draw your name from her contest. Have a great week.

  8. If you get 4 treats and Real Cat Webster gets 4 treats then what does she do with the other treats in the bag? I would keep an eye on her, I wonder if she's eating the rest of the treats herself.

  9. It sometimes seems that To-Do Lists are actually one very long one. But, every day, it shrinks and grows, and I tackle what I can. I am better in the morning, too. That is when I do outside things first. I am like a farmer, before the heat of the day, git'er done! Hugs!
