Cheetah Handwasher
Pouring vessel (also called an aquamanile) of cast and chiseled
bronze
depicting a cheetah. Trained cheetahs were used for hunting game,
first in the
Islamic world, and later in Sicily.
11th–13th century. Artist possibly Egyptian or Venetian.
